Hilal Kocakara is a Turkish volleyball player, who plays as Setter for the local team Besiktas and the Turkish national team. She is a silver medalist at the Turkiye Kadinlar Voleybol Ligi and a bronze medalist at the Turkish Cup. She is also a bronze medalist at the European Championships U17 with the Turkish junior national team.
Hilal Kocakara was born in 2002 and played for the junior team of Fenerbahce. She was called for the Turkish junior national team for the first time in 2017 to play at the European Championships U16, where they finished 6th. In the next season, she earned the bronze at the European Championships U17 2018, while in 2019 was part of the team at the World Championships U19.
Hilal Kocakara started her career in 2018, already 16 years old, to play for the second team of Fenerbahce. Her team played for the Turkiye Kadinlar Voleybol 2. Ligi and she played for two seasons in the second team to gain experience.
In 2020, Hilal Kocakara debuted for the senior team of Fenerbahce Opet. Being one of the key players for the club, her team earned the bronze at the Turkish Cup and the silver at the Turkiye Kadinlar Voleybol Ligi. She also played in the Champions League, where her team finished 5th. During the season, she played for the national team at the World Championships U20 2021, where finished 10th.
In 2021, Hilal Kocakara played for Nilufer Belediyespor in the Turkiye Kadinlar Voleybol Ligi, where finished 12th in the standings, and Dogus Universitesi in the Unilig 2021/22, finishing 10th in the standings. With Nilufer Belediyespor she also played in the Challenge Cup 2021/2022, but again without significant success.
In 2022, Hilal Kocakara played for Bolu Bld in the Turkiye Kadinlar Voleybol Ligi and Bahcesehir Universitesi in the Unilig 2022/2023, winning the silver.
Hilal Kocakara signed with Besiktas in 2023, which is her current volleyball club.
