Isabelle Haak is a Swedish volleyball player, who plays as an opposite for the Italian club Imoco Volley Conegliano and the Swedish national team. She is a Champions League gold medalist and twice Club World champion and was also awarded the MVP.
Isabelle Haak was born on July 11, 1999, in Perstorp, Sweden. She started playing volleyball at the youth teams of her hometown club Engelholms VS and at the age of 14 made her debut for the first team in the Elitserien.
Isabelle Haak started her professional career in 2012 for Engelholm VS to play in the Swedish League. In her maiden season, she earned the bronze with her team at the Swedish League and the silver at the Swedish Cup. During the season she played with the Sweden U19 national volleyball team at the NEVZA U19 and won the silver. She started in the club for three seasons, winning the Swedish Cup 2014/2015 and 20152016, as well as the Swedish League 2014/2015 and 2015/2016, awarded as the MVP in both. With the national teams she won twice the gold at the NEVZA U19 and twice the silver at the NEVZA, awarded as MVP at the NEVZA U19 2014.
In 2016, Isabelle Haak signed with Beziers Volley to play in the French Ligue A. In her maiden season with the club, she won the bronze at the French Ligue A, where was awarded as the MVP, and the silver at the French Cup. She also played at CEV Cup and European Golden League 2017 with the national team of Sweden.
In 2017, Isabelle Haak signed to Savino Del Bene Scandicci to play in the Italian Serie A1. In her maiden season with the club, her team finished third in the Italian Serie A1 and 5th at the Italian Cup. Internationally, she earned the gold at the European Silver League 2018, where was awarded the MVP. In the next season, she played in the Champions League and earned the bronze at the Italian Serie A1 and the Italian Cup. With the national team she played at the European Golden League 2019, but her team finished 12th.
In 2019, Isabelle Haak signed with the Turkish team VakifBank. In the first season her team finished third at the Club World Championship and the second in the Turkish Supercup. In the 2020/2021 season, she was a key player for VakifBank to win the silver medal at the Champions League, where was awarded the Best Scorer, as well as to made a double in Turkey winning the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Kadinlar Voleybol Ligi, where was awarded the MVP. Isabelle Haak also qualified with the Swedish national team for the European Championships 2021, finishing 8th. In the 2021/2022 season, her team VakifBank won all the competitions, triumphing at the Turkish Cup, the Turkish Kadinlar Voleybol Ligi, and the Turkish Supercup, but her biggest achievement was winning the Champions League and the Club World Championship, which was also awarded MVP. With the Swedish national volleyball team, she triumphed at the European Silver League 2022.
In 2022, Isabelle Haak signed with the Italian volleyball club Imoco Volley Conegliano. In her maiden season with the club, she had another fantastic achievement, making a treble in Italy to win the Italian Serie A1, the Italian Cup, and the Italian Supercup, as well as the Club World Championship. Her team finished 5th in the Champions League. Swedish national volleyball team, she finished second at the European Golden League 2023.
